Rediscover one of the most beloved stories of all time with this affectionately reimagined take on Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s 1943 classic. A little girl (voiced by Mackenzie Foy), lives with her mother (Rachel McAdams) in cookie-cutter suburbia. The girl spends every waking moment preparing for her entrance into a highly competitive prep school. Fortunately her new neighbor turns out to be an eccentric and fascinating old aviator (Jeff Bridges). Their destinies cross when an errant propeller from the aviator’s airplane careens from his backyard and into her house—and he soon sets about telling her a wondrous tale.

That is when we meet the Little Prince (Riley Osborne), his forlorn Rose (Marion Cotillard) and a constellation of fellow travelers: the conceited man (Ricky Gervais), who craves the applause of a nonexistent crowd, the king (Bud Cort), who presides over an empty domain, the businessman (Albert Brooks), who claims to own all the stars in the heavens, the sinuous snake (Benicio Del Toro), and the wild fox (James Franco) who yearns to be tamed.

The Little Prince stays true to Saint-Exupery’s heralding of uncorrupted awe over grown-up disillusionment, using beautiful, painterly animation and delightful performances to let us look at the world through the hopeful eyes of a child. – Eloisa Lopez-Gomez
