The Confucius Institute will conduct a master class seminar on Chinese and Chinese-American subject feature films at this year’s Miami International Film Festival, which include Mountains May Depart and the documentary The Music of Strangers. This complimentary class will focus on the featured films’ underlying themes, such as the realities of urban life and the conflict between modern and traditional values. Attendees will enjoy presentations by renowned keynote speakers, panel discussions, and a special performance by Chinese pop singer A Zheng. Refreshments will be served.
